Curious on how we work?  Heard rumors that we take in cars and trucks from the area?  Well you are correct, here at BISD Autotech, we take in outside work.  That is right, a person with no connection to the program can bring in their vehicle for service. Here is how it works.

2. After talking to the teacher of the program, bring in your vehicle.

3. We will call you with an quote for the repairs. If you approve then we will continue with the repairs.

4. Pick up your vehicle

Yes, it is that simple.  The vehicles are worked on by students of the program under close supervision of the teachers.  We can do most repairs and services to domestic and asian vehicles. 

We charge parts plus labor like a standard shop. Our labor rate is $35 and hour where a typical shop charges $90+ and hour. We use times based on AllData with no charge in diagnosing! In other words, we will look at a vehicle for free!  We only charge for repairs.

Anything else please contact. We take vehicles on a case by case job

So we save you money and our students learn how to repair vehicles.  However because of that fact, time is a factor when repairing vehicles.  Typical time frame is 1 day for every hour we charge.  So if you can spare the time, we can spare you savings. 

Payments are due when picking up the vehicle and can be made by check or cash.  We are working on getting debit/credit card approved. 

A few things to note:

We are teachers so our fist priority are our students.  Because of this, we are not always able to answer the phone so please leave a message or email us. 

School hours are from 8am-4pm.  While we do work normally beyond this, we also have to teach so shop time is limited to a few hours a day.  We usually do not work when school is out for holidays or weather.  Time frames may need to be extendend because of other priorities like major testing, field trips, and other activities beyond our control and students will not be able to work on vehicles during those times.

We usually warranty our repairs for 6 months 6k miles unless otherwise noted.  Warranty only applies to paid repairs.

We sometimes have to decline a vehicle because of any number of factors

Any revenue generated goes to support the program and its activities

The only insurance is what the customer has on the vehicle.  We supply no additional insurance in case of but not limited to fire, theft, loss, weather, acts of god, and accidents. 

We usually do not work on vehicles older than 15 years!  Remember that we are training our students to work on modern vehicles for a career.

We do not do body work.  Auto Body is a different animal altogether so please understand when we will not fix your bumper.  We do not have an Auto Body program either.
